Arnold D. Skelton, 84, a resident of route 1, Bowling Green for more than 70 years died January 26, at Veterans Hospital in Indianapolis.
The funeral was held today at Rentschler Funeral Home, Center Point with burial in Fairview Cemetery.
Mr. Skelton had been a resident of Putnam and Parke Counties and was a self-employed timberman who retired at the age of 80. A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the American Legion Post in Spencer. He attended Bowling Green United Methodist Church and was a member of the F. & A.M. of Bowling Green.
Surviving are the wife, Eva Ruth Skelton; sons, Joseph A. and Paul D., both of route 1, Bowling Green; Edgar G., Goshen; James H., Brazil; and Robert L.; Clay City; daughters, Esther L. Horace Winfield Skiff, a lifelong resident of Oregon, died Tuesday in a local hospital. Mr. Skiff who lived at 18875 SW Farmington Road, was 79.
Mr. Skiff was born June 17, 1894, in Portland. A Member of Stage Hands Local Union No. 28, Mr. Skiff began working in Salem before moving to Portland in 1940. He worked for the Oriental Theater for 13 years and for the Fox Theater for 15 years, retiring in 1970.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle; daughter, Mrs. Calvin C. McIrvin, Portland, and nieces, Alica Tauscher and Irene Turner, both of Portland.

Illness Terminates Fatally for Mrs. Ada Price
Following an illness of several months of a complication of diseases, Mrs. Ada Price, wife of R. L. Price, died at her home on Letcher street between Cumnock and O'Byrne streets Friday night at 8 o'clock. The deceased was 52 years of age at the time of her death, and well known and liked by a host of friends in the community in which she lived.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, namely, Elmer, Sterling and Sherley Price, all of this city.
Funeral services were conducted from the family residence on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, by the Rev. T. A. Conway, pastor of the Audubon Baptist church, and the interment was in the family lot in Fernwood Cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Skinner of Clay observed the sixty-fourth anniversary of their marriage on Aug. 1. Mr. Skinner is eighty-four years of age, and Mrs. Skinner, the former America Joe Price, is eighty-six. The were married in Lisman on Aug. 1, 1880, by the Rev. Jim Messick.
