Horace Winfield Skiff, a lifelong resident of Oregon, died Tuesday in a local hospital. Mr. Skiff who lived at 18875 SW Farmington Road, was 79.
Mr. Skiff was born June 17, 1894, in Portland. A Member of Stage Hands Local Union No. 28, Mr. Skiff began working in Salem before moving to Portland in 1940. He worked for the Oriental Theater for 13 years and for the Fox Theater for 15 years, retiring in 1970.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle; daughter, Mrs. Calvin C. McIrvin, Portland, and nieces, Alica Tauscher and Irene Turner, both of Portland.

Illness Terminates Fatally for Mrs. Ada Price
Following an illness of several months of a complication of diseases, Mrs. Ada Price, wife of R. L. Price, died at her home on Letcher street between Cumnock and O'Byrne streets Friday night at 8 o'clock. The deceased was 52 years of age at the time of her death, and well known and liked by a host of friends in the community in which she lived.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, namely, Elmer, Sterling and Sherley Price, all of this city.
Funeral services were conducted from the family residence on Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, by the Rev. T. A. Conway, pastor of the Audubon Baptist church, and the interment was in the family lot in Fernwood Cemetery.
