Evelyn Ann Carnahan, 84, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2008, at Altru Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Evelyn was born December 31, 1923, in Butte, MT, the daughter of Martin and Ann (Sodia) Simonich. She was baptized into the Catholic faith, she was raised and educated in Butte, MT.
Evelyn was united in marriage to Howard Carnahan on December 2, 1945, in Butte. They made their home in Grand Forks, ND. She was a home maker and enjoyed cooking & baking. She enjoyed spending time with her grand children. Grandma could always find something for them to eat.
Evelyn was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church.
Evelyn will sadly be missed by her family including her son Ken Carnahan of Grand Forks; daughter, Marlen (Randy) Waltersof, Grand Forks; grandchildren, Brooks Carnahan, Katie Walters, Nick Walters; great-granddaugther Madyson Carnahan; brother, William Simonich of Dillon, MT; sister-in-law Edith (Cecil) Carnahan of Tigard, OR; several nieces and nephews and special friends, Christine Louden and Gen Thompson. VISITATION: Monday, March 31, 2008, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. vigil service at Amundson Funeral Home 2975 S. 42nd St. in Grand Forks. The visitation will continue one hour prior to the Mass at the church.
