Born March 17, 1909, in the Lincoln Land Co. townsite on Shell Creek, she was the daughter of Edgar Wilford and Rosa Beatrice (Sturdevant) Rhea. Her father was a blacksmith and the family later moved to Shell Town, where he owned and operated a blacksmith shop.
On April 6, 1927, she married Arnold I. Good in Basin.
The couple worked on various ranches in the Shell Creek and Beaver Creek areas, then purchased a ranch on Beaver Creek and ranched for many years. Her husband played the fiddle and was in demand for country dances, many of which were held at the Good home.
A gracious hostess, she always welcomed travelers along Beaver Creek Road who became stuck in the mud and needed a place to stay. She also welcomed her children's friends for a night, weekend, or longer.
In the early 1950s, the ranch was sold and the family moved to the Shell area. Her husband preceded her in death in June 1971, after 44 years of marriage. She then worked at the Senior Center baking donuts and other pastries.
At the completion of the new Senior Center, she became a cook's helper and after moving into Greybull in 1985, continued working at the center until her retirement in 1986.
Her interests included playing pinochle, embroidering and quilting, and gardening. She continued cooking for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren until recently.
Survivors include four sons, Albert, Loren and John and their wives, and Gary, and a daughter-in-law, all of the Greybull/Shell area, two niees, three nephews, 22 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.
