She was born on Jan. 2, 1936 in Chicago. She graduated with a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Wisconsin and also graduated from the Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School in New York City. Prior to her marriage, she was employed by the Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester, N. W. After raising her family in Ontario, she moved to Englewood, Fla., in 1993 when her husband retired.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and is survived by her husband of 49 years, Edward J. Tobin of Englewood; four daughters and four sons-in-law, Catherine (Thoams) Roome of Victor, N. Y., Margaret (Michael) McAuliffe of Andover, Mass., Jean (Russell) Stein of Ontario, Amy (Keith) Morales of Wynnewood, Pa.; and a brother, Phillip Meany of Duluth, Minn. She also leaves behind eleven grandchildren.
