He retired from Simpson's Market in 1989 and then worked at Wal-Mart as a door greeter. Austin always had a lut for life and really loved being with people and was loved by all who knew him. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the VFW Post 2953.
His loving wife, Mary McClarney, two sons, Larry D. and James A. McClarney, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his two cargivers, son, Kenny McClarney, and daughter, Peggy Orth, and a son, Mike McClarney, all of Evansville. Also his devoted nephew, Jerry Bivins; sixteen grandchildren, thirty-six great-grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren; a brother, Jerry McClarney, Evansville, and sister, Oneida Zoenthoefer, Texas City, TX.
A funeral servie will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 11, 2007, at the Titzer Family Funeral Homes, Miller & Miller conial Chapel, 100 E. Columbia St. Evansville IN 47711. Entombment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery with his wife Mary. The retired Veterans Club of Vanderburgh will conduct military rites.

Mary Jane Wallace, 82, widow of Stephen B. Wallace, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2008. at her home in Cliff View Senior Living Community, St. George, Utah. She was born February 11, 1926 in Milan, Missouri, to Ernest and Thelma McClaskey. In 1942, she married the love of her life, Stephen B. Wallace. They were married for 63 years and set an example for all to follow.
She is survived by children, Bill and Stevie Kilby, Bruce and Jo-Ann Wallace and Gail Stanhope. She was Grammy to grandchildren, Colleen and Rodney Price, Pam and Mike Anderson, Sannon and Will Goodwin, Dyland and Deanna Wallace, Scott and Kelly Hallett, Wesley and Shannon Wallace, Wendy Stanhope and Cory Martines, Aileen and Chad Dollic, Alison and Erick Garcia and Elisa Kilby. She was also a great Grammy to 12 great-grandchildren, Kyle, Collin and Adrianna Price, Brneton, Shelby and Brady Anderson, Jade and Ty Goodwin, Kayla and Preston Hallett, Brieanne Dollick and Alexaandra Wallce. Preceding her in death were her loving husband Stephen B. Wallace and brothers, Robert McClaskey, Ernest McClaskey and Raymond McClaskey.
Mary Jane was a homemaker extraordinaire raising her family while mentoring many nieces, nephews and grandchildren. She was always there for whoever needed assistance in anyway. She was most happy cooking upa Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner for the whole family or enjoying the company of the many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a most beautiful woman on the outside as was as the inside.
Her final resting place will be at the Conejo Mountain memorial Park in Camirillo, California next to her husband.

Elizabeth McClure Mahan, 89, widow of William Lloyd Mahan, died Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at Samaritan Hospital. She was a retired Church Organist, having served at Maxwell Street Presbyterian church, Pisgah Presbyterian Church and Troy Presbyterian Church. She was born in Clairton, PA, daughter of the late James Harvey and Elva Emma Hageman McClure. She received her BA degree in Music from Ohio University. She was a longtime member of Maxwell Street Presbyterian Church, a charger member of PEO, American Guild of Organists, Sigma Alpha Iota (Music Honorary), the Homemakers Chorus and Alpa XI Delta. Surviving are her son, James R. (Judy Bradley) Mahan, Fayette County, her three grandchildren; Mark A. (Lucy) Mahan, Lexington, Lynn Mahan (Jim) Wright, Georgetown and John Bradley (Jill) Mahan, Lexington and five great grandchildren. Her son, Charles L. Mahan preceded her in death.
