Mr. McCarthy was a World War I veteran and had been in ill health since the close of the war. He was a brother-in-law of Mrs. C. E. Roth, of Evansville, Miss Myrta Skinner and O. M. Skinner, of Clay.
Surviving are the wife, Mrs. Katheryn Skinner McCarthy, one daughter, one son, and on grandson, all of Phoenix.
