Mrs. Kate Hubbard Jackson, aged 75 years, widow of the late John Jackson, passed away at her home, 739 west Third street, yesterday after an illness of several months.
Mrs. Jackson was born in this city and was a daughter of the late G. T. Hubbard and Mary Yost Hubbard. At the time of her death, she was living alone and had spent the most of her life in Madison with the exception of long visits she made each year with her sister, Mrs. Mollie Rudy, of St. Matthews, Ky.
Besides her sister she is survived by the following nieces and nephews: Carlos McGuire, Cincinnati, Ohio; Mrs. D. B. Wood, Miss Dorothy McGuire and Daniel McGuire, all of Indianapolis, and Mrs. J. G. Lee of Louisville.
She was a member of the Christian church of this city and possessed many friends who will learn of her death with much regret. Funeral arrangements have not been completed. Mrs. Lee was expected to arrive in this city today and other nieces and nephews will arrive this evening or tomorrow.
Funeral services will be held at the residence on West Third street at 2:00 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. The Rev. W. H. Sando will officiate. Burial will be in Springdale. Parents: George Thomas HUBBARD and Mary A. YOST.

In the name of God Amen. I Elijah Hubbs of Marshall County viz considering the uncertainty of this mortal life and being of sound mind and memory blessed be Almighty God for the same do make and Publish this my last will and testament in the manner and form following that is to say.
First I give and bequeath to my eldest daughter Kessiah Clegg children one dollar. I also give and bequeath to my second daughter Rebecca Clegg one collard and I also give and bequeath to my youngest daughter Sarah Robison one dollar which said legacies I will and order shall be paid to the respective legates within six months after my decease. I further give and devise to my son Elijah Hubbs his heairs and assigns all that my messae or tenement situated lying and being in Marshall County state of Virigina together with all of my other freehold estate whatsoever to hold to him the said Elijah Hubbs his heirs and assigns forever and lastly as to all the rest residue and remainder of my personal estate goods and chattels of what kind nature soever. I give and bequeath to my son Elijah Hubbs whom I hereby appoint my sole administrator of this my last will and testatment hereby revoking all former wills by me made.

The last will and testament of Elijah Hubbs deceased was proved according to law by the oaths of Isaac Hubbs and George Hubbs two of the subscribing witnesses thereto and is ordered to be recorded and on the motion of Elijah Hubbs the executor therein named who made oath thereto and together with Issac Hubbs Sr. his security who qualified to his sufficiency entered into and acknowledged a bond in the penalty of $500 conditioned as the law directs Certificate is granted him for obtaining a probate of the said will in due form.
