Leonard E. "Andy" Anderson, of Garden Prairie, formerly of Chrystal Lake, died Sunday, May 11, 2008, in Hospice of Northeastern Illinois in Woodstock. He was born Aug. 18, 1930, in Mount Ayr, Iowa, to Leonard Earl and Mildred Gertrude (Rogers) Anderson. He served in the U.S. Army in the 11th Airborne during the Korean War. He married Irma Trent on Nov. 5, 1954, in Woodstock. He was an owner/operator over the road truck driver and a member of the American Legion Post 171.
Survived by children, Robert (Vicki) Bracken, Rodney Bracken, Diane (Thomas Finger, Linda (Raymond) Dominick, Brenda (Michael) Maier, Denise (Michael) Pattison, Dennis (Jenny) Anderson; 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Chester, Anna Margaret, Ruby, and Marilyn.
