Chambers, film #1769908 She died in April 1987 at the age of 88 in Kalispell, Flathead, MT. Written by Jeanne Knox Brown: "Marian 5' tall. Her family was her main interest. Became a china painter in later yrs. Always raised flowers and gave them away. Always petite. History of Joe and Marian Knox, as written by Marian Faucette I came to Denton in the fall of 1917, to teach the Cederholm School. My oldest brother, Lyall Day, and wife Nellie lived in Denton. I was very young, and I thought Denton was the worst every country, having come from southern Minnesota, with its trees, and lakes. The school was lonely, but I stayed with Fred and Goldie Cederholm, and they were kind to me, and I taught there for two years. Before I knew it, I was enjoying the wonderful people, and the community things, especially the dances. In the fall of 1918, I was in my school house, and I had just let the children out to go home. A young man came riding to the door, came in, and asked if I could tell him where Mr. Watters lived, as he was looking for winter wheat seed. The young man was Joe Knox, and I found some some time later that he was not looking for wheat seed! We went to dances and places with Gerry Stearns, my good friend from home who was also teaching, and Wes Clayton. We enjoyed many good times together. Joe and I were married in Minnesota and we came to Montana where we lived on the Beauchane ranch one year. Our first child, Jeanne, was born in Denton, attended by Dr. Jenson, and my mother. We then moved to a ranch just south of Denton where Barbara was born, in 1924. Grace Elaine was born after we moved to Arrow Creek bench in 1930. That year our house burned, and we lived in Mike Hine's little hours for a little over a year. After a year or so, we got a lease on the Peck place, where our only son Richard was born in 1934. Dick was born in Denton, at Mary and John Martin's home with Mary caring for us. I enjoyed our stay with Mary very much, and she gave us very good care. It seemed that things got better, crops improved and living was easier about this time. When Dick was eight years old, Joe died suddenly at the age of forty-five, leaving a confused and shocked family. In 1945, we moved to Kalispell to a ranch I have always though was beautiful. Barbara married Eddie Fuller, and they have one son, and two daughters, and Eddie is an Electric Contractor in Kalispell. Jeanne married Clifford Brown the same year, and they have a son and a daughter, and live on a ranch here. Grace married Richard Waller, and they have four sons, and live in Wenatchee, Washington, where Rick is an architect. Dick married Doris Intvedt, and they have four sons, and two daughters. They moved from the ranch here to Winifred, where they have a cattle ranch. I live in Kalispell, where i enjoy my home and family. I have fifteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. i keep busy with gardening and china painting, my favorite things. Parents: William Worthy DAY and Marian CHAMBERS.
