HANNA CITY- Warren J. culber, 79, of 427 N. Pekin Lane died at 9:22 p.m. Friday, July 14, 2000, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria.
Born Feb. 19, 1921, in Ellisville to Ralph and Nellie Hock Culver, he married Orpha A. Knox on Jan. 1, 1941 in Maquon. She survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Gary (and Sheila) of Alto, N.M., Dennis (and Kari) of Canton, Bradley (and Louise) of Williamsport, Pa., and Greg (and Kimberly) of Farmington; 14 grandchildren, 15 greatgrandchildren; two brothers, Giles (and Linda) of chicago and Merrill (and Lynn) of South Padre Island, Texas; and one sister, Melba Jury of Sparland.

He was preceded in death by one granddaughtr, Karry Ann Culver, and one sister.
He was an operating engineer at Bradley University in Peoria for 25 years. he also farmed for many years.
A sergeant in the Army Air Foves during World War II, he was a charter member of American Legion Post 1099 in Maquon.
He was a volunteer at Wildlike Prairie Park.
He was a member of Trivoli Methodist Church.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington. The Rev. Larry Kirk will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. John Cumpston, age 60, of Rock Lick, W. Va., field foreman of the Manufacturers Light and Heat Gas Co., dorpped dead at 2:30 p.m., near the home of Edward Calver of Cameron yesterday.
Mr. Cumpston has been in his usual health and worked yesterday. He was enroute home when he died. Duputy Coroner Clyde L. Laper of Marshall County said that heart trouble caused his death.
An employee of the Manufacturers Light and Heat Company the past 35 years, the deceased was widely known in this section. He was prominent in church and other community affairs and was a member of the Sugar Grove Church of God.
