Napoleon Bonaparte COSBY Jr. was born on 2 May 1856 in , Henderson, Kentucky. He died on 22 June 1908 at the age of 52 in Henderson, Henderson, KY. Obituary, Henderson Daily Gleaner, Tuesday morning, June 23 1908 SUDDEN DEATH OF N. B. COSBY, JR., MONDAY N. B. Cosby, Jr., aged fifty years, died very suddenly a few minutes after dinner Monday at his home on North Alves street, after an attack of acute indigestion. Mr. Cosby arose from his table and went out on the back porch, and the first any one knew that he was suffering was when groans were heard. Members of the family immediately went to his assistance, removed him to his room, and physicians were called, but death came to his relief in fifteen minutes. Mr. Cosby was reared on a farm in the Cash Creek neighborhood, and was united in marriage to Miss Dixie King, of the same section, about twenty-five years ago, who, with three children, James, who is employed by the Lambert-Walker Hardware co., Robert, with La-Rue-Johnson Drug Co., and one girl, Laura, aged about fifteen years, survive him. He is also survived by his father, who resides at Cash Creek, one sister, Mrs. Elias Barrow, of Owensboro. The old father, who is past eighty, was a guest of his son, and only yesterday morning was taken out driving by him. Five years ago the deceased moved to the city and opened a livery stable on Second street, but he retired from that business and was employed by O. W. Rash last winter in receiving tobacco at the Rash factory on Water street. When quite a young man he united with the Cash Creek Baptist church, and has lived a consistent Christian life. The family left the residence this morning shortly after midnight with the remains, enroute to the old church, where the funeral will take place at three o'clock this afternoon, under the charge of Rev. W. W. Schwerdtfeger. He was buried on 23 June 1908 at Cash Creek Cemetery in Henderson, Kentucky. obituary, Henderson Daily Gleaner, Tuesday morning, Jun 23 1908 1880 census, Hebbardsville, Henderson, KY p373B, ED 213 Roll 419 146/147 Napoleon B.
