Rudy, Long-Time Resident Succumbs Wednesday" A well known Neosho resident, Mrs. R. B. Rudy, 93, died at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday night, at Sale Memorial Hospital after an eight month's illness. Mrs. Rudy was born in Smithville, Ark., May 14, 1862, and came to Neosho when she was nine years old. In 1883, she married Rylen B. Rudy and they built their first home on the city park tract, at 156 South High. Their abstract is one of the few bearing only the names of the City of Neosho and the owners'. For many years, Mrs. Rudy's daughters held open house on their mother's birthday, and the hospitality of the Rudy home is well known in many places, as military personnel and friends and relatives have always been made welcome. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Diva Barlow of Neosho, Mrs. Vida Murray and Mrs Fleta Estep of Tulsa, and Miss Lola Rudy of the home, two sons, Frank Rudy of Olympia, Wash., and Steele Rudy of the home, 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 Saturday afternoon in the First Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Alfred J. Gerdell, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery under the direction of the Clark-Bigham funeral home. The body will lie in state at the home from 4 pm. Thursday until 1 p.m. Saturday, when it will be moved to the church.
