The funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2002 at St. Marks Reformed Church. The Rev. Robert M. Disher will officiate. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park.

After an Illness of Two Weeks at her Home on Plum Street
Monday evening, at 10 o'clock, Mrs. John Edwards, aged forty-four, after an illness of two weeks, died at her home, on Plum street. She was the wife of Mr. John Edwards, foreman of the street department, who, with three children, Roy, Nannie and Maggie, survive her decease. Her sister, Mrs. John Heid, and four brothers also survive.

Mrs. Nannie E. Ferguson died at 3:45 o'clock, Saturday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Favor, 1419 O'Byrne street.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Favor, Mrs. Eugene Oldham, Spottsville, and Mrs. Edward Brody, Henshaw; four sons, Jeff and Henry, Spottsville; Horace, Henderson, and Robert, Dixie, and 23 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon at the Bennett Memorial church, the Rev. L. F. Southern officiating. Burial will be in the family lot at Poole.
She was buried on 28 April 1935 at Shady Grove Cemtery in Poole, Henderson, KY. Nannie was also given two other maiden names by her son, Jeff, that of Kavanaugh and Simpson, on his marriage license application to his 2nd wife, and on the information he gave to the Henderson Health Dept when she died.
